On 24th March 2025, the Primary Healthcare System Enhancing Project (PHSEP) was officially launched, marking a significant milestone in Sri Lanka’s journey toward accessible, efficient, and patient-centered healthcare.
The ceremonial event was held at the prestigious Cinnamon Life Hotel, Colombo, bringing together distinguished leaders and stakeholders in the health sector. The occasion was graced by the presence of Dr. Nalinda Jayathissa, Minister of Health and Mass Media, and Dr. Anil Jasinghe of the Ministry of Health and Mass Media, whose participation underscored the national importance of this initiative.
PHSEP, supported by the World Bank, aims to modernize and strengthen the country’s primary healthcare system, ensuring that communities across Sri Lanka benefit from improved services, digital transformation, and sustainable health infrastructure.
This launch represents not just the beginning of a project, but a commitment to building healthier futures for all Sri Lankans.
